Your Facilitators

TANYA
TANYA founded ACOF in 2004, where she has facilitated and taught Mindfulness Practice for over 10 years. She has studied and/or retreated with many teachers, including: Thich Nhat Hanh, Gary Zukav, Dick Sutphen, Raymond Moody, David St. Clair, Kevin Todeschi, and many others.

A longtime student of Edgar Cayce, Tanya has over 35 years of experience in Dream Work. Tanya also teaches spiritually based Dream Interpretation, and gains great joy in helping people learn to understand the symbols, deeper meanings, and spiritual messages found in their dreams.

Tanya is a frequent media guest, including several appearances on bestselling author Dick Sutphen's Contact Talk Radio Show, discussing meditation and technique. She has also taught and led meditation at the Domestic Violence shelter, helping victimized women experience the healing found in silence. In addition, she is very active in the Native American Community in her home state, and has had the great privilege of studying and participating in their ways, beliefs, and spiritual practices.

An author, Tanya has written many articles on applying Mindfulness to everyday life. She has a New Book based on her personal journey with Cancer and the use of Mindfulness Practice to see the Gifts Cancer has to offer.  The book is also available as a Kindle download.

There’s always room for more at A Circle of Friends; the Circle is ever-expanding. Tanya looks very forward to meeting new Friends.

MARIBETH ("MB")
A potentially life threatening illness set MARIBETH on a spiritual journey she never anticipated.

Known as “MB” to her friends, she has studied and/or retreated with Marianne Williamson, Gary Zukav, Gregg Unterberger, Kevin Todeschi, and others.

Dream interpretation has become a passion for MB, and she can interpret a dream with the best of them.  She is often sought out by members for assistance with dreams, and is also well known in the ACOF group as a “giver.”  A yoga enthusiast, MB has studied in California and Nashville with several prominent teachers, including Falguni Harkisandas.

MB has been with ACOF since 2006, when she moved from California to Nashville and continued her spiritual journey with all of us.  She is constantly striving to learn more and be more, and will tell you that life in the Earth School is all about growth.

MB is always happy to meet new Friends and is a Co-Facilitator and Teacher for ACOF.

JOE
JOE regularly facilitates Healing Circles and Native American Teachings for us in the Lakota ways and traditions. Tanya and Joe met in 2003 at the Lakota Sweat Lodges held at Bottomview Farm in Tennessee. Working together to help a little boy with cancer cemented their friendship, and Joe has been with ACOF ever since.

Joe has been a speaker for the Gandhi-King Peacemaking Conference (ecology and global peace) and EasternMennonite University (green Christianity), among many others.

It’s Joe’s great pleasure to offer teaching on Native American culture, spirituality, and ceremony. As the descendant of four Indian women who married first or second generation Europeans, he’s proud to say “These are my people.”
